CBC In Second After First Round of Evangel Fall Invitational

            Springfield, Mo. – Returning to the course for the first time in two weeks, Central Baptist College men's golf teed off today in the first round of the Evangel Fall Invitational at the Bill and Payne Stewart Golf Course. CBC shot an opening round 303 to put themselves in second place, 15 shots off the leaders and hosts from Evangel.

            Individually, Kitsakon Jairak opened with a +4 74 to sit in a tie for third, 12 strokes off the lead. Jakub Slapal was next, one shot behind Jairak in a tie for fifth and three other Mustangs, Paul Gomez, Suraprat Pareepart and Joaquin Ali each shot 77's to put them in a tie for eighth place.

            CBC will look to try to earn the win tomorrow in the final round that tees off at 8 a.m.
