#MustangsWin! CBC Dominates Bacone To Sweep Warriors This Season!

            Conway, Ark. – Playing the same team for the second time this week, Central Baptist College men's basketball hosted Bacone College this afternoon in a non-American Midwest Conference contest at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (8-4) never trailed, leading by as many as 61 in the second half and cruising to a 112-56 win over BC (0-13).

            Every Mustang that played scored and five Mustangs finished in double figures scoring, led by Jalen Adams. The Mustangs outshot the Warriors 57 to 35 percent from the field, outrebounded them 45-33, scored 42 points off turnovers, compared to 13 and outscored Bacone in the paint 60-24.

GAME NOTES

• CBC improved to 6-7 all-time against Bacone and have won five straight against the Warriors
• The Mustangs are now 7-2 when leading at the half this season and 164-38 overall
• Adams finished with 21 points and moved into eight place on the all-time scoring list with 889 points, needing just three points to pass Michael Holder for seventh
• Adams also needs only two three pointers in his next game to move into the top-five in threes, passing Marcus White
• Brevin Brimble had 16 points
• Braylon Steen added 14 off the bench
• Gabe Johnson had 11 points
• Devon Jefferson chipped in 10 off the bench
• Rashad Allen had nine points in his final game as a Mustang
• Jefferson was the leading rebounder with seven
• 112 points is the second most for the Mustangs under head coach Sam Kohnke and the most points since they scored exactly 100 in last season's AMC quarterfinal against Williams Baptist
• CBC made 45 field goals, which tied for the third most ever in a single-game
• CBC made 11 threes, the fifth time this season they've made at least 10
