Preview: Mustangs Host Saints In Non-Conference Action

            Conway, Ark. – Looking to rebound from a tough loss in their home opener, Central Baptist College men's basketball hosts the Saints of Our Lady of the Lake University tomorrow night at Reddin Fieldhouse. GAME NOTES

  • CBC is 0-2 on the season
  • OLLU is 1-0, having opened their season with a 103-90 win over Southwestern Christian last Saturday. The Saints will play Arkansas Baptist in Little Rock tonight.
  • This will be the first meeting between the Mustangs and the Saints of San Antonio, Texas
  • Jordan Parker leads four Mustangs in double-figures scoring, averaging 23 points per game
  • Kelvin Robinson is averaging 22 points per game
  • Mayan Kiir is also in double figures, averaging 16.5 per game while leading the team in rebounding at 10 per game
  • Jalen Adams is averaging 13.0 points per game
  • Hayden Peterson leads the team in assists, averaging four per contest
  • CBC is averaging 82 points per game this season on 49 percent from the field, 35 percent from three and 66 percent at the free throw line while allowing 92.5 per game on 46 percent from the field, 38 percent from three and 77 percent at the free throw line
  • The Mustangs are being outrebounded 39.5-35.5 per game and are committing 17 turnovers per game while forcing just 10.5
  • Joseph Anderson leads five Saints in double figures, averaging 21 points per game
  • Jordan Embry is the leading rebounder, averaging 10 per game
  • Anderson and Embry are the co-assist leaders, both averaging two per contest
  • The Saints shot 49 percent from the floor in their first game, 39 percent from three and 90 percent at the free throw line and allowed 49 percent shooting from the field, 35 percent from three and 74 percent at the free throw line
  • The Saints won the rebounding battle 41-28 and forced 13 turnovers while committing just 12
