#MustangsWin! CBC Finishes Series Sweep of Harris-Stowe on Senior Day!

            North Little Rock, Ark. – Looking to end their American Midwest Conference regular season schedule on a high note, Central Baptist College baseball hosted the Harris-Stowe Hornets today looking for a series sweep at DeSalvo Memorial Stadium. CBC (29-19, 14-7 AMC) finished the sweep, shutting out HSSU (3-25, 1-19 AMC) 9-0.

            20 seniors were honored before the game and the entire starting lineup contained only seniors. Ryan Dauphinee started the scoring in the first inning with a single to make it 1-0. Two runs would cross the plate in the second on an error and a Preston White single. CBC increased the lead to 8-0 in the third on a Danilo Taborda single, an Aaron Prince single, a Garrett Fitts sac fly, a wild pitch and a sac fly by Dauphinee. The final run scored on an error in the fifth. Fitts became the first player to record two triples in the same game to back Dylan Parton, who earned his ninth win, throwing five innings and allowing five hits with four strikeouts. Ryan Meyer threw a scoreless sixth allowing two hits with a strikeout. Jamin Smith threw two perfect innings and struck out three and Cole Garcia finished the game, allowing two hits while striking out one in the ninth.

            CBC wraps up the regular season on Tuesday when they host LSU-Shreveport. First pitch from Bear Stadium on the UCA campus is scheduled for 2 p.m.
