Hot Springs, Ark. – Playing a midweek game for the second time this week, Central Baptist College baseball was at Majestic Stadium for a game against the Champion Christian Tigers. CBC (23-9) pounded out 15 hits and scored 15 runs to beat CCC (9-15) 15-1 in seven innings.
Cade McBride had a huge game, going 3-3 with a pair of doubles, a triple and five RBIs. Chett McDaniel was also 3-3 with a double of his own and a pair of stolen bases while the Mustangs also got a double from Cole Garcia and triples from Danilo Taborda and Jacori Hicks. Rhett James went six innings on the mound, allowing just four hits and one unearned run with six strikeouts for his first win of the season. Julio Escobar had a one, two, three seventh to secure the victory.
CBC is back in action this weekend when they host American Midwest Conference rival Harris-Stowe State for a Saturday-Sunday three game series at Burns Park. Saturday's doubleheader begins at noon while Sunday's game begins at 2 p.m.
