Baseball Drops Midweek Contest to TAMUT

Texarkana, Texas – Playing their fourth straight game in the state of Texas, Central Baptist College baseball was at Dobson Field today for a midweek contest against the Eagles of Texas A&M-Texarkana. CBC (5-5) only mustered four hits and one run, dropping the contest 11-1 to TAMUT (4-8).
CBC's only run came on a second inning solo shot from Ian Velazquez, his first of the season. TAMUT scored four in the first, three in the fourth and four in the fifth for all of their runs. Christian Zincke made a scoreless appearance, throwing the final one-and-one third innings and allowing no hits while striking out one.
The Mustangs head back to Texas this weekend for a four-game set against Wiley College. First pitch of Friday's doubleheader from Marshall is slated for noon.
