Pope Earns AMC Pitcher of the Week Honors

            St. Louis, Mo. – For the third consecutive week, a Central Baptist College pitcher has earned American Midwest Conference player of the week recognition. This time, Jackson Pope was the recipient for the first time in his career.

            Pope made two appearances this week for the Mustangs. In eight total innings against Philander Smith and Southwestern Assemblies of God, he allowed only one earned run and struck out 13 total, four against PSU and nine against SAGU.

            Pope and the Mustangs are back on the field tomorrow in Texarkana against Texas A&M-Texarkana. First pitch from Dobson Field is at 2 p.m.
