Albat, McBride Sweep AMC Weekly Baseball Honors

            St. Louis, Mo. – For the first time this season, Central Baptist College has swept the weekly American Midwest Conference awards in one sport. Baseball players Josh Albat and Cade McBride were the Mustangs to pull that off this week.

            Albat earned his second straight pitcher of the week award after throwing the sixth no-hitter in program history on Friday against Dallas Christian. Albat struck out 10 batters in the contest and only allowed two base runners.

            McBride earned his first career hitter of the week award. He went 4-7 in the two games on Friday, homering in both games to give him three already this season.

            The Mustangs open the home portion of their schedule tomorrow when they host the Panthers of Philander Smith at Burns Park in North Little Rock. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
