Dallas, Texas – Playing on the road for the second straight weekend, Central Baptist College baseball was at the Dallas Christian Classic yesterday for games against Dallas Christian and Texas College. CBC (3-1) took both games, getting a no-hitter from Josh Albat in game one to beat DCC (0-1) 7-0 before pounding out 19 runs on 19 hits in game two for a 19-6 win over Texas College.

GAME ONE – CBC 7, DALLAS CHRISTIAN 0

Josh Albat twirled the sixth no-hitter in program history and the fourth solo no-no, striking out 10 in the win. Albat only allowed two base runners the entire outing, one on a walk and one via a hit by pitch. The Mustangs had 13 hits and scored two in the second, one in the fourth and four in the seventh to give Albat plenty of support. Cade McBride and Kevin Gutierrez both homered in the contest while the Mustangs terrorized the basepaths, swiping seven bags in the game.

GAME TWO – CBC 19, TEXAS COLLEGE 6

The Mustangs got going quickly in game two, scoring two in the first, seven in the second, two in the third, two in the fourth and six in the fifth to put the game away. McBride also homered in this game as did Danilo Taborda for the first time in his career. Freshman Dylan Parton earned the win, throwing five innings and allowing just one run on two hits with five Ks for his first W. Jackson Lindsey, Blane Sullinger and Dominic Smith also made appearances on the mound while CBC had eight extra base hits and nine steals against the Steers.
