Blue Mountain, Miss. – Looking to try to salvage a split today, Central Baptist College baseball was back at Topper Field for the final two games of a four-game set against the Toppers of Blue Mountain Christian University. CBC (2-4) couldn't muster much offense, losing 4-0 and 7-1 to BMCU (6-1).

GAME 1 – BMCU 4, CBC 0

The Musangs mustered one hit in game one of the day, a single by Steven Stewart in the seventh. BMCU would get two in the first, one in the third and one in the fifth for their runs. Caleb Sollars was the starter and picked up the loss, allowing three runs on three hits with two walks and four Ks in two-and-one-thirds innings. Ben Slate threw two-and-two-thirds innings of relief and allowed a run on two hits with a walk and four strikeouts and Julio Escobar made his CBC debut, striking out two and walking two in a scoreless inning of work.

GAME 2 – BMCU 7, CBC 1

Blue Mountain took the lead again in game two, 1-0, in the third inning, but CBC tied the game in the fifth on an error off the bat of pinch hitter Nick Aide that scored Austin Teal, who swiped three bases in the game. BMUC would retake the lead in the fifth, 2-1 and added five runs in the sixth inning to close out the scoring. Christian Zincke started for the Mustangs and threw four innings, allowing just four hits while walking five and striking out three. Mason Seller got the loss, throwing one-and-two thirds innings and allowing six runs on five hits with a pair of walks and two strikeouts. Jackson Lindsey got the final out around a hit and a walk.
